The analysis of the existing urban situation determined the principle of continuity and further development of the new architectural and planning structure of the existing residential quarter. The location of the building plot on the crossing of two main streets (Marshala Zhoukova Street and Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street), its orientation towards the Moscow River and the neighborhood of the City Clinical Hospital №67 determined the design and the functional zoning scheme of the territory.
The project presents mainly a parametrically closed development of the territory with 16 to 12-storey buildings, with a special accent on the highest 32-storey building that fixes the axis of the General Karbishev Avenue, following by the building of the hospital and three 25-storey residential towers situated in the middle of the quarter.
Designed residential complex is situated in the south part of the plot that overlooks the Moscow River. It consists of three buildings of various heights with an emphasis on the 22-storey western “wing”. The inside space of the quarter turns around two compositional axes created by two pedestrian footpaths laid parallel to main streets. The northern part of the quarter, next to the crossing of two main streets will accommodate an underground metro station and will become the central recreational area of the quarter with a shopping center a supermarket.
